Creating the Foundation for a Book
6 Assignments + 6 One-Hour Meetings--$530
There is an idea that has been haunting you for a long time. It’s an idea that is meaningful enough, interesting enough, or entertaining enough to warrant a book. You want to write that book, but you don’t know where to begin or you are stuck in the middle unable to move the manuscript forward.
Whether you need to pour words on the page to get a sense of your book or you prefer to make outlines, working through the following elements of building the foundation for a book provides a North Star to guide the development of your book from beginning to end.
Element # 1: Elaborate your vision for your book to provide the essential understanding of the book that informs the other elements of building the foundation for your book.
Element # 2: Clarify your book idea, so you know the point of your book or your books guiding theme and why readers browsing in bookstores will want to purchase your book
Element # 3: Find the structure of a nonfiction book or the shape of a story for a novel or memoir
Element # 4: Conceptualize the narrative arc and the character arc of transformation so there is an engaging cause-and- effect trajectory from the beginning to the end of your novel, memoir, or work of narrative nonfiction
Element # 5: Create a nonfiction book with an overarching structure with chapters that link ideas together, guiding readers on a transformational journey of personal growth, knowledge, or the acquisition of important skills.
Element # 6: Create a work of self-help nonfiction or narrative nonfiction that artfully weaves together research and story
